"Simple, private, and reliable"
Well... I’ve been using Yubico keys for my main accounts, it’s been a nice peace-of-mind thing. I like that I don’t have to deal with random tracking stuff or install extra apps just to feel secure. Setup was straightforward, and so far it’s felt solid, private, and drama-free.

"Great first impression, but it didn’t hold up"
When I first got the Yubico key, I was impressed with the concept and the setup was straightforward enough. My first impression was that it felt like a solid little security device I could just keep on my keychain and forget about. Unfortunately, after a few months of normal pocket use, the plastic around the keyring hole started cracking and the metal contact looks worn down. I’m not especially rough with my keys, so that was disappointing. It still works here and there, but I don’t really feel confident relying on it now. For the price, I expected it to feel a lot more durable long term.

"Makes work logins ridiculously easy"
I use my YubiKey pretty much every single day for work, it makes logging in almost too easy. I just plug it in, tap it, and I’m done. No digging around for codes or playing the endless security app game. It’s super handy, works exactly like it should, and I haven’t had a single issue so far.

"PSA: YubiKey Setup Was Way Easier Than I Expected"
Just a heads up for anyone putting off setting up a YubiKey because it seems too technical: it really wasn’t bad at all. I got mine set up in just a few minutes, didn’t have to hunt around for instructions, and the steps were clear enough to follow. I’m definitely not super techy, so I was relieved when it worked with my accounts right away without turning into a whole project.

"Quick setup, no headache"
I’ll be honest, I saw “security key” and my brain immediately went, okay, this is probably going to be a whole thing. But setting up my YubiKey was way easier than I expected. I was a little confused at first, but the guides on Yubico walked me through it clearly, so I just followed the steps and didn’t overthink it. Got it working with my email and password manager in about 15 minutes. It didn’t feel super technical or annoying, which is exactly what I needed. Easy 5 stars from me

"Helpful support, but a bit slow"
Support did end up fixing my key issue, which I really appreciated. I had to wait longer than I was hoping, though. Based on this experience, I’d say they probably know how to handle problems well, but you might need a little patience.

"Works fine, but the build feels a bit disappointing"
I really wanted to love my YubiKey!! It still works like it’s supposed to, but the build quality just doesn’t feel as solid as I expected for the price. After only a few weeks on my keychain, the plastic around the edge started looking kind of rough. Maybe I just got a bad one, but I’m a little disappointed.

"Still going strong after years"
I’ve had my YubiKey on my keychain for a few years now, i’m kind of impressed it’s still working perfectly. It’s been dropped plenty of times and tossed around with my keys, but I haven’t had any issues at all. Setup took a little reading, but it wasn’t too bad once I figured it out. I also really like not having to deal with SMS codes anymore. Am I the only one who feels way better using something physical like this? It’s just a solid little device

"Solid little security upgrade"
I bought this from Yubico, the price felt about right for what you’re getting. It’s not the cheapest little gadget around, but it feels really solid and like it’ll last a long time. Setup was easy too, which I appreciated. I’d rather pay once for something that just works instead of dealing with another subscription. Definitely worth it for the extra peace of mind.

"Product was okay, but the return was a hassle"
The product itself was fine, so I don’t really have any complaints there. The frustrating part was the return process. It took longer than I expected, and the refund updates were slow. I had to follow up with support more than once, which got annoying. I did get my money back in the end, but the whole experience left me with mixed feelings...

I ordered a YubiKey from yubico and it’s been doing exactly what I needed it to do. Setup was straightforward, and I mostly only paid attention to the parts that mattered to me: whether it worked with my accounts, fit on my keyring, and didn’t make logging in annoying. It passed all of that without much fuss. The one thing I did notice before buying is that the firmware isn’t something you can really update later, so it’s worth choosing the right model upfront. For me, that actually feels like a security plus rather than a downside. So far, no problems at all. It just sits on my keyring and does its job, which is exactly what I wanted.

"Works okay, but not easy to carry"
It works fine, so no complaints there, but the size and shape just haven’t been great for me. It’s small enough that it gets lost loose in my bag, but when I put it on my keyring it feels awkward and kind of in the way. I also don’t love the little support loop—it feels flimsy and doesn’t really make it any easier to carry. I expected it to feel more portable, but I keep misplacing it.

I ordered from yubico i’m blaming Yubico for making me think shipping is always supposed to be this smooth now. I got the tracking info quickly, the package showed up without any drama, and it arrived way sooner than I expected. Really happy with how fast everything went.

"Works fine, almost suspiciously easy"
I’ve been using yubico mostly with Chrome and Firefox, i haven’t had any real problems. Setup was quick, and the key just works when I’m logging in. Kind of makes you wonder why browser-related stuff can’t be this painless all the time, but I’ll take it.
